I started working when I was 14, but I was never taught how money worked growing up. When I entered banking at 18, I was eager to understand money because I wanted a more comfortable life than the one I had known. By 19, I was an Investment Consultant helping clients with credit, debt repayment, investing, and mortgage goals.

But after a car accident left me unemployed for the first time, I learned something no textbook or banking role had fully prepared me for: money is not just math. It is emotional too. I know what it feels like to wonder when the next dollar is coming in and to make money mistakes even when you “should know better.” But because of what I did know, I was able to stretch my money, pay off high-interest debt, rebuild my confidence, and get back on track toward my million-dollar retirement goal.
